OPINIONS PLEASE

This is not my pad (I haven't taken a pad shot yet)

I am in the process of post processing all the pics from the wedding I
photographed on Saturday. Some of the photos lend themselves to
more stylized treatment or black and white or even sepia. I know the
bride had wanted some black and white shots as well.

Could you please have a look at the four versions I have here and let me know
what you think. Does one of these work better with this shot than the others do?
Russ was kind enough to send me a version that he did for me so one of these is
courtesy of him and I am most grateful for his efforts.

Anyway, please please please take a moment to comment and let me know which you prefer
and if possible just a word or two about why you prefer it.

I like the contrast and the skin tones in the first. Number one for sure. : )

Well now lets see here, (from top down) the first is too plain for the energy of the picture. The second is good, the contrast in sepia helps bring out the shadows in the bride's face and adds dof, gives the picture a certain texture I only see in important memories. The third unsaturated image blends well with the background, still keeping a certain texture of the image. The fourth image is very nice and original, displays lots of colorful energy, but I would only keep this one in the photo album. I'm stuck between the second and third image. Now if I were to have one of these displayed in my hallway it would have to be the second image sense most hallways feel like I'm walking through a picture frame, white walls and dark color frame doors, the second image would fit right in. The third image I'd have in the dining room or possibly over a fire place, representing a most energetic memory between the couple.

I prefer the second from the bottom . . not the full color one, but slightly desat . . .the full B&W does not give her full benefit . . . the almost fully desat is not flattering in my mind . . something about the slightly desat one is more flattering than full color IMHO

I also vote for No. 2. I like the richer contrast, which brings out both bride and groom's features better than in No. 1, and which provides a classier look than 3 or 4, at least to me.

No.2 for me! It seems to have a special something - perhaps a timeless feel, which is perhaps appopriate for a wedding. I feel the toning plays a big part in it.

I like two of them. the second one - b&w with a bit of sepia I think.. and the last one.. i don't care for the slightly desaturated one and the b&w first one isn't very lively. (THE TONES ARE GOOD but.. the second is better)..

The first does look very polished and fits the bride best. The second has great tones and a bit of life and fits the groom, who looks like a fun loving guy.

Liza, I like the second one. She is a classy, and classic bride, so I prefer the b/w. The first looks a little too polished, or finished I think? The slight shadow of the 2nd give it some depth. You caught this moment perfectly. Can't really see her glance at you because of the veil, but the look is there. And his joy is evident. Wonder how the 3rd would look in b/w? Like that glow, too.
