nature's pearls
So last night around midnight I went out with the trash
and found the worlds largest spider web I had ever seen.
I decide I had to photograph it right then and there as it may
well be gone in the morning. One minor detail... my remote shutter trigger
didn't have a battery and so I had no way to keep the lens open long
enough while I painted the web with light. I couldn't use my flash because
both my hotshoe and my external flash were broken by my ridiculous
cat earlier in the week. I had to content myself with shooting it first
thing this morning.
Last night, the enormous creator of this web was sitting in the middle
of it. This morning she was nowhere to be found. I definitely think
webs photograph much better when their host is present, don't you?
Anyway, I don't think this will last as my pad for the day but you
just never know.
