Saw this old gas pump and remembered hearing a news article the other day that some pumps were not able to price over $2.99 per gallon
because the dollar only has the "1" and "2" characters. I can remember pumping gas as a teen, (great job, now lost to this generation),
and when gas first hit $1.00 per gallon the owner just wrote the "1" one the white pump face with a marker.
This old pump only has a single digit for the total sales counter...
