Bedford Mill
This old mill, run by the waters of Devil Lake, supplied much of the lumber in South Eastern, Ontario, Canada. It also shipped large quantities to Upper New York state, just across the border
BLUE
My name is Blue, and I'm representing my best buddy, and pet human,Doug, simply because I'm much younger, and a lot better looking......... And this text was supposed to be on his Profile page, but never arrived with the picture. Sometimes, I wonder about him.
Sunset - and a Wayward Wind
If anyone had shown me this sunset shot, I'd have thought it was a mad manipulation, but it is for real. Another shot from my balcony, and this time, with the trees in the foreground. I thought about flash fill for the foreground trees, but decided it would unbalance the effect.

Detroit Skyline
The Detroit River separates Windsor, Ontario. Canada, and Detroit Michigan, U.S.A..
It is one of the busiest rivers on the planet, but just a small part of the longest navigable waterway in the world. From the mouth of the St. Lawrence river, which empties into the Atlantic, to the Western end of Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes of North America, it is 3,060 miles. A long way to paddle a canoe.
Men at Work ?
Another shot of the old rail yards in Windsor,Ontario. In the 1950's, it was right downtown on the waterfront, but later moved a couple of miles, out of the core area.
The waterfront now has a couple of miles of parkland and gardens, facing the Detroit, U.S.A. skyline, across the river.

The Log Rolling Frog Hunter
Blue is my best buddy, and loves everything about living in the woods. Especially the lakes and beaver ponds. He's also very agile, for a big fella, and as you can see, he's quite comfortable, even where his four feet are positioned.

Sunset Firestorm
I see many beautiful sunsets, as my computer is next to a balcony, overlooking a Western exposure of Buck Lake. But I had never seen one like this. There wasn't any fire. Just the rolling cloud formation, that was even more vivid, before I managed to get out with a camera.
I Just Found It......"HONEST"
Hunting season had recently ended, but Charlie, a neighbour's dog, had come across the remains of a recent kill, and naturally, had to bring it home.
He just wasn't too sure, whether he had done the right thing.
Game Called on Account of .....
Just out walking my dog, and thought the fog enshrouded baseball diamond, presented a rather somber and ethereal sight.
Hurry up, We're Going to be Late
Same street in Old Quebec. The girls are joined by two friends, and are completely preoccupied, and totally involved in a fix-it mission.
One might possibly be lynched today, for photographing something so humorously innocent.
A Discussion of Great Importance
Another oldie, resurrected from a Kodachrome ISO 10, slide. Taken in the Old section of Quebec city. These little schoolgirls must have been on their lunch break, and were completely immersed in what seemed to me, to be a very important subject.
End of an Era
This shot was taken half a century ago, with one of my earliest cameras. A Voigtlander Vitessa, which I bought while stationed in Germany, circa 1954.
The Voigtlander lenses of that era, rivaled anything that Leica or Zeiss, produced.
Films were fairly grainy back then, and I tended to stay with the finest grained films, with an ISO rating of 12, which put very low limits on shutter speeds, if you wanted any reasonable depth of fileld.
An Old Door - NEW LOCK???
Most who have seen this, expressed curiousity at the new lock, on a falling down barn.
Some seemed to think it might contain a valuable stash, but it's not much of a lock.
Frito Bandito
Found this baby Raccoon, some time after it's mother was killed by a large Samoyed.
It took a couple of days to come up with the right formula for it, but it did thrive, and adopted me as it's mother. Quite an experience, and even after I had set him free, on a friends farm, he would still come running when I called. He had made himself a home, in a huge, old oak tree, and the barn.
One Cautious Kitty
Not the easiest shot, with a twin lens Rolleiflex, but I managed to get one, in the fast fading light.
Tanker Fire
Fortunately, the driver of this tanker walked away, after a soft shoulder overturned his rig. No one was injured, but it made a rather spectacular sight

Face in a Crowd
While filming a Television News assignment of a parade, I spotted this youngster, who seemed to find my cameras more interesting. Fortunately, I always carried a Leica 111F around my neck, and grabbed a quick shot. Who knows. She might have been the next Margaret Burke White, or Dorothea Lange.
