Shark?

The life guards did nothing and nobody in the beach seemed to care. Trust me, this is real and not edited. I followed this fin coming in and out of the water and took a picture when it came back out.

Notice that the fin is curved at the back. This is characteristic of a bottlenose dolphin. A shark has a straight fin. The life-guards probably knew this.

dude i don't even think about sharks ive surfed with a 8 foot mako at the obx if you don't mess with them they don't bite you. besides shark attacks are not just them finding a meal their in trouble we may get attacked around 51 times a year but sharks get killed around that many times in half a day their going away for good and people like you make it wrost by justifiying killing sharks im not a tree hugger just a surfer that knows a thing or two everyone needs to know that sharks are like big dogs if you panic they will chase you "one time i was surfing and there was a shark no one cared but this one dude and he got scaired and the shark swam betwen everone and fallowed that one guy before getong bored and swam off" don't fear sharks their like the dump of the ocean - every one thinks they're bad but with out them every thing would go wroung

Uh-oh... Either way, it would have gotten me out of the water as soon as I saw it. Good shot, I like how the people are off focus and the fin is clear.
