Crovie

Aberdeenshire

The coastal village of Crovie, pronounced "Crivvie", is the only village in Scotland without a road passing through it.
Between the cliffs and the sea, there is only enough room for one house and a footpath. There is a road to the far end of the village, but all supplies have to be brought in to the houses on foot, or by wheeled push trollies!

I was in Crovie two summers ago, and was very amused with British Gnome Stores. It was a beautiful setting. Scary ride in the car though.

A very pretty little village and the light is great. Not sure if I'd like having to carry everything to the end house though!
