New and old, what a great idea. Love the lamp :)

Very interesting shot.
Must have had a daring architect to think of this.

Well, that sits right at home with the lovely stone tenements and buildings...what were these 60s and 70s urban planners smoking??? We had the same in Edinburgh (St. James Centre, Kirkgate in Leith, Basil Hume Tower in the University...) - absolutely appalling that this sort of thing was allowed to happen...but it's a striking photo nonetheless, Stewart - great human touch again :o)

Great choice for a wide angle. Lamp post anchors it perfectly! V

Nice detail of the brick work

A structure that seems to have been boldly built in an area of older buildings.

I like the circular building and it pops out from the rest. Wonder how they hang their pictures?
Phillip Normanton25-Jan-2010 23:26
Those rain-stained bricks really brings out the drabness - I'm sure it's a lovely market really ;o))

You've done really well here controlling your distortion, looks great... You have no idea how long it is since I heard someone say "pure dead brilliant!!"

Nice wide perspective. Quite a modern "hat" amidst the cla4sic architecture.

Having never been to Aberdeen, I think this building is interesting. Love the wide-angle effect here.

I can't help but feel that this building is a little out of place in Aberdeen.(At least the Aberdeen I remember!)
