This photo is taken on Lumahai Beach where the river flows into the sea, and near the spot, I believe, where Mitzi Gaynor was gonna wash that man right outta her hair. At the other end of the beach, almost a mile away, there's a nice protected pool that's very popular for swimming. Except for in the river, not many attempt swimming here. But it's a fun place to watch boogie boarders when the surf's up.
