On Wednesday, we took a 2 hour ski lesson in the morning and then headed up the Mallard Lake Trail in the afternoon - 760 ft elevation gain over a 7 mile out & back trail. Perhaps a bit challenging for our first effort, but we made it! On Friday, Scott and Stephanie took their lesson and that afternoon we skied 9 miles round trip to Lone Star Geyser, which rewarded our efforts by erupting just as we arrived.
Cross country skiing was easy to learn and a lot of fun. And not nearly as much work as they make it look on the Olympics!
