First the balloon is stretched out along the ground. It took two or three of us to pull it out. I think the pilot said the balloon itself weighed 600 pounds, but it may have been kilograms or a completely different number.
Then the yellow fan in the foreground blows a lot of air inside to get the thing opened up a bit.
