Wanda and Stan 04_05_08.jpg

Wanda went for a training ride yesterday. Yes, she is gearing up for the American Diabetes Association "Tour de Cure" again. Here she is climbing a hill at about mile 40 of her little 47,5 mile ride. The man besider her is Stan Swallow the captian of the Gold's Gym/ Bike Peddler Team.

Also, this year she is planning on racing. Her ultimate goal for the year is to ride in the "LOTAJA Classic" race. The LOTAJA Classic is a road race from Logan, Utah to Jackson Wyoming. It is 206 miles over a few mountain ranges all in one day. Yeah, it sounds crazy to me too.

Here is a story on the LOTOJA race http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,695207217,00.html

YOU GO WANDA!...I agree with the previous statements. BUT, 200 milesssss? Egads Lady Wanda, by the time you complete the race you might
need a "Tour de Cure" at the local Hospital. Not to mention the number of male riders crashing their bikes while following your "stern" lead. I'm in for the challenge of the "Tour de Cure" provided they allow a motorized tri-cycle, a beer cooler full
of libation and my Movie Camera so that I may document my insanity and a 200 mile "MOON" shot!....lolol Oh boy me thinks I'm in trouble...lolol

Wanda, yor have the squadron rooting for you, best of luck, we are looking forward to viewing a full 500 picture presentation of Wanda the Wonder woman and of her fellow team members. Raa, Raa, Raa, Wandaaaaa!

Oh I beg to differ "Very", if anything is going to give me motivation to travel 200 miles through the mountains, it would certainly be from following Wanda! Of course eventually I would be so far behind that seeing her would take binoculars. But finish I would just just to make her proud!!

I'm sorry. The only way I'm going 200 miles through the mountains is in a car! Not even following Wanda on a bike is inspiration enough to get me to try THAT race!
