Wanda In the Ashes 08_10_07.jpg

We're now at the end of "Fire" photos. I think we captured the feeling of devastation and stark beauty of the charred forest. Here the relaxed pose looking up and into the light gives a feeling of peace and hope for the future.

Here are the image put together ina gallery http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/fire_devastation

The image below is the image I had in my head when this concept first came to me. I wanted to show the destruction, the trees and earth stripped bare, a powerful symbol of nature naked

Wanda found these charred bones. This image was her concept. I love how the wind blows her hair. It gives me a feeling of the power and force of the life force

Here I want to give a heart felt and deep thank you to Wanda. She went the extra mile for these images. The ground was covered by sharp rocks and soot. Moving from one location to another for each image was hard as she picked her way through the rocks. Wanda thank you for your pain, suffering, dedication and ideas that made getting these images possible.

Wanda/Bill,
Wanda never disappoints in any shot. This is especially true when
we are able to see her here in the buff . Somehow however I never
associate Wanda with ashes, maybe pretty as$es, but not ashes.
While all the comments have much merit, I liked the ones with her wearing a sheer
see through flowing gown of a sort. Maybe red as in the color of fire in some, then white as in the purity of a new beginnings. The wind flowing through her hair is a nice touch. And yet it all displays a wonderful concept, I loved it all.

How about Wanda wearing a white sheer flowing dress or nightgown perhaps. The differences in contrasts might be kind of cool?

For what it's worth, I like this one the best of the set....it has a great sense of balance and composition to my eye. Of course, it misses the boots....but still gets my vote. Wanda still looks like a wood nymph from some sci-fi film in this one, too. Very cool image.
