A Cowboys Tools 07_29_05.jpg

My old leather barn coat made a good background for my 73 Winchester by Ubirti and .45 Colt Single Action Army. Toss in a few cartridges and an old book "Our Rifles" by Charles Winthrop Sawyer and you have the makings of a photograph. This one was fun to do.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/125s f/13.0 at 48.0mm iso200 with Flash full exif

This is beautiful. The rich, warm colors and the highlights are just fantastic. What perfect lighting.

We share a rifle except mine is in 44/40 (a weak moment).

Nice shot and wistful colour tone. Due to the current firearm laws in Australia I had to surrender all of my rifles, shotguns and handguns a while back and my only hardware now has Canon written on the front of it. …Hmm there’s some irony in there somewhere!!

Every self-respectin' cowboy needs a straight shootin rifle and a trusty side iron. Love this one Bill.
