I Guess If You Don't Have Fingers 07_11_05.jpg

We drive by the pasture this bull lives in when we drive to our daughter Brandy's home. Wanda has wanted me to take a picture of this guy for a long time. When ever we go by he is way off in the far corner. Tonight he was kind of close so I gave it a go. It was late and the light was fading but I did get a few shots. This one just struck me funny.

I'm no expert on cattle. Anyone know what kind of cattle this is? He has a very long coat in the winter.

Bill,
It is definitely a Scottish Highland, but may not be pure. Could be a Highland cross. Looks like someone has been helping him with his hair. There mop usually covers there eyes completely. Which leads me to believe that it may be a cross bred. I question if it is actually a bull. Does not look very masculine! Here is a link to a pic of a purebred Scottish Highland female that I took last Sept. in Australia.http://www.pbase.com/glennrae/image/38041021

Looks a little bit like Scottish Highland cattle. Wonder whether it's related.
