Up The Trail 07_03_05.jpg

Wanda and I spent the morning horseback riding in the forest on the ridges that surround the Strawberry Valley. It was a perfect day; with light popcorn clouds floating in a sky so blue it almost hurt your eyes to look at it. I could spend a lifetime riding in these mountains and never get tired of it. There is always something new around the next bend in the trail.

Here are some more photos from our ride. Can I just say that taking photos from the back of a moving horse was a new challenge.

A shot from the beginning of the trail.

Here is yesterday's PAD photo. It is the area we spent yesterday afternoon and last night.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon 50mm f/1.8

Beautiful and quite interesting... and excellent work considering you were mounted!
That isn't the most stable (no pun inteded) platform in the world.

It is certainly easier photographing when riding western style, than english!

Great shots. I tried this very thing a bit over a week ago in New Mexico with my KM 7D and the results were much less satisfying than these. Shooting from horseback has to be experienced to be understood. Once again, great work sir.
