The Early Bird 06_18_05.jpg

Today we have your everyday average male American Robin bathed in that, so sweet, magic hour light. I would love to say this was taken at dawn; but, that would be far from the truth. This was taken just as the sun was dipping below the western horizon, this evening. So, maybe you don't really need to be the early bird to get the worm.

So the caption is wrong on both counts, late instead of early and caterpillars instead of worms.
Good job the picture makes up for the caption.
We had a female American Robin visit us here in the UK about 18 months ago, but it met a gruesom end when it was captured by a sparrow hawk and was decapitated and eaten.
It's a dog eat dog....... sorry bird eat bird world we live in.
