Bug Eyes 05_27_05.jpg

Macro photography really isn't something I'm comfortable with and I need more practice. I spent a little time in the garden chasing bees this evening. I took this at less than a foot with a very narrow depth of field. It came out pretty much how I wanted it too.

My god, that is a little too close for comfort!

I don't think you need anymore practice - that is an awesome shot!

I'm guessing with f/4, iso 400, 20D and the ambient light = no tripod. Nice shot. I enjoy the fact, that even with a specialized area of photography like macro, everyones individual style shows. Beautiful setup of vibrant and rich color with fine geometric composition. Honey eyecandy 4 sure! g

So what is the buzz? Did you use a tripod. I assume so.
