Double-crested Corrmorant05_01_05.jpg

We watched four Double-crested Cormorants. This immature bird is light enough that the feathers showed. Light wasn't great; so, well have to go back and give them another try soon. The adults are just about black and to get the photo to show any feather detail the sky ends up looking just white.

Bill have you looked into those flash extenders (they look like a long rifle scope) that can throw a flash either like 150 feet or was it 150 yards. I don't know much about them. But they will give you a some light and let you darken up the sky a stop or two.
