Dennis, we actually did drive 350 miles for just a PAD photo and that is all we did. We drove out to and then onto the Bonneville Salt Flats right on the Utah Nevada border. The salt is hard, like cement, and you can drive for miles on the Salt Flats. This is where they hold the World Land Speed Record Trials in September. We were about ten miles from the nearest anything.

For lighting I used two Canon 550EX speedlights on stands reflected off of 48" umbrellas.

This shot was just a test to see how the lighting setup would work. After that we just had to get the position and pose right for the Moon Goddess shot.

We drove out, setup, then took our photos, tore down and headed home. OK I'm a little crazy.

Also, how on earth did you find a place private enough to do this shot? Although it's obviously barren in the background of your pics, but I have to believe that roads and probably some buildings/civilization are behind the camera. Hope you didn't have an unwelcome gallery.

Bill, I thought there might be a shot like this here. Wanda looks a little chilly. Did you have anything special for lighting? I don't imagine there were a lot of electrical outlets nearby. I can't believe you just up and drove 350 miles for a PAD (and presumably a few other shots). You both are remarkable.
