Wanda over the top 07_11_09.jpg

Our favorite super model (we can call her a super model, can't we?) Wanda works hard to stay in shape. Today she went on a 70 mile bike ride over a road called the Nebo Loop. The summit is at just over 9300 ft. after a 25 mile climb. Then it was down the other side and back to town. A fair share of that climb is an eight to ten percent grade. She completed the 70 mile loop in just over six hours including three rest stops

Congratulations Bill. I know how hard that is to do. I lost 39 lbs when i was 32. Went from 242 to 203. I looked emaciated at 203 (I'm 6' 4") and put a few lbs back on right away. I have put about half of the rest of it back on in the intervening 2 decades.

Bill,
Way to go. So when do we see a photo of you showing the progress you have made?

Hey guys, the person that has lost 37 lbs. (as of this morning) is me, that fat old photographer, Bill.

Most of the time Wanda and I ride together but on the Nebo Loop ride they need someone as support. I don't go up big long climbs all that well; so, I was the support crew with the extra water, air pump, tubes, food and stuff making sure everyone got home safe.

I think there are days to ride and days to be supportive. The Nebo Loop ride was a good day to be a supportive husband.

Where in the world were you hiding those 35 lbs????? you looked great last year, and you look great this year. If Wikipedia ever has a page defining GILF (G for Grandmother) I'm linking that page to one of your Mother Nature pictures.

Wanda you look great! Who are you going to fight? I can't imagine anyone wanting to fight with you, unless it is a woman that doesn't have the discipline to get in shape. Bill is a great photographer, but your Mother Nature pix can't hide excess weight. Don't lose too much weight.

Hey, I'm working at it! Slowly but surely it is coming off.

I'm down over 35 pounds from last year. A few weeks ago I did 75 miles on my bike in the Utah Tour de Cure. These days I'm riding about 100 miles a week. By this time next year I'll be down to a good fighting weight.
