Light wasn't that good for shooting upwards this morning (thin overcast)

Here the female hawk is trying to collect twigs to take back to the nest. She would get out near the end end of a branch and try to break off a twig. She had to flutter her wings to maintain balance on the flimsy end of the branch.

Later a pair of Mocking birds started to harass her. They produced calls that sounded exactly like the hawk to me but just not quite as loud.
