Tribute to Porsche at Le Mans, Hal Thoms

When I first saw this poster https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/27511996 hanging on a back wall at Carl Thompson's shop in Long Beach, California, my only thought at the time was, "I'VE GOT TO HAVE IT!!!" This particular poster in the above link is owned by Mr. Carl Thompson, it is #281 of 300 https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/27512000

If you ever wish for a Porsche poster, wish no more, this is really it! Truly a stunning poster that one must see in person to really appreciate. As a limited production run of only 300 original prints, Hal Thoms recounts this was by far the most expensive Porsche poster ever produced as he was commissioned to travel on location just to photograph each of the cars (think of that expense alone!)

Incidentally, in case you didn't notice, those are the actual photos of each of the Porsche race cars https://pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/image/71026452 Wow! Each photo was carefully edited, enhanced and formatted in the poster to achieve the final result. BTW, I did purchased the last 3 posters Hal Thoms had and there are no more new ones available. Of the last three new posters I purchased, one I framed for my office https://pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/image/71026446, the second I literally gave it away to a good friend and the 3rd, well, here it is available for sale.

By the way, the actual print has been in storage, laying flat between two sheets of foam-core and not rolled up inside a shipping-tube as most other poster you buy today normally are.

MUST READ! The poster in this photo gallery is my own personal poster (#298 of 300) which is NOT the one here offered FOR SALE. I'm offering another original POSTER PRINT (#295 of 300) with NO FRAMING, NO MATTING, just the poster print. If you're wondering what I paid to have my poster professionally matted and framed using a non-glare UV glass, the cost was almost $600 (and well worth the price!). The print I'm selling was also autographed and dated by Hal Thoms saying; "Enjoy Hal Thoms" (4/4/2004).
