One of the last real ST 2.5-liter, 270 bhp MFI FIA race cars built by the Porsche Factory. Zero-hours, fresh restoration, all original numbers, tags and rare bits and pieces are there, correct and original! This car finished 12th overall and 6th in class at the 1971 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Fully documented history from day one.

Hello,
It seems very odd that this is a 1972 ST (which does have a1972 chassis number 230) did participate in Le Mans in June 1971. The 1972 model range did not even start untill after the summer holiday.
I do not doubt the chassisnumber, because the car does have the typical 1972 oil trap. I therefore do not believe this car did ever take part in the Le Mans race in 1971. This incorrect historical coverage does seem to have only the purpose to give the car a great racing heritage. Questionable!

i owned this car in the late nineties and was hands on in some of the restoration process i know a fair bit of the history of this car i would be interested in seeing the documentation you have on this car best regards brent hunter
