...This particular 911 RSR was restored by Dr. Gary Quast who sold it in 1974 and it is now located in Belgium. Back in April 2004, while attending the Rennsport Reunion II in Florida, I had the opportunity to take these photos and also meet Dr. Quast who offered it to me for just $225,000. As an idiot, I passed on his offer and the rest is now history. Can you believe it?!!! This RSR is now worth well over 500,000 Euro (and I don't even want to do the math)...

Below is a brief description from an email I received from Dr. Quast about his 1975 factory 911 RSR...

"My car was actualy a 1975 IROC Carrera. I thought that it was a 74 model too, but the factory confirmed that it was indeed the IROC and a 1975 model. It was VIN 9115609123 as I recall. Supposed to be the last one made by the factory. Until I bought it, it had the least mileage of any RSR as it had only 1/2 lap a Daytona in September 1975. Crashed on first lap. Driven by Ludwig Heimrath. Repaired at factory and never finished restoration until I purchased in 1988. I raced from 1990 throught 1996 and then into storage".
