This RSR https://pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/image/61542011 was sold new in Switzerland by AMAG to Harry Blumer in 1974. After racing for Garage Zbinden in a 911S and a 911RS Blumer wanted a real racing-car and together with Porsche works driver Herbert Muller he went to Weissag to buy this RSR. Their main goal was to win the 1974 Swiss championship with this car. In order to do so Blumer had to participate in various hillclimbs, track-races and airfield-races. After actually winning the 1974 Swiss championship Blumer sold the car. Until 1979 this RSR was raced in the Swiss championship and international races by Edwin Kofel and Edy Brandenberger. They did very well with this RSR and even managed to win the Swiss championship for the second time. During its racing years the car has never been badly damaged. Recently this car was re-imported into Europe and race-prepared again, including a fresh engine. In 2004 the car was driven in a Classic Endurance Series race at the Nurburgring by a Le Mans veteran and came second in class. This Le Mans veteran was impressed with the performance and handling. A new set of FIA HTP papers has just been issued for this car.
