1974 Porsche 911 RSR 3.0 L - Chassis 911.460.9080

Sold new to Ludwig Heimrath, Canada.

These are 1974 photos of a Heimrath 911 RSR currently located in Florida, USA. Per a recent conversation I had with the owner, we may be seeing more detailed photos of this fantastic RSR in the near future. BTW, This particular RSR was restored by Jim Torres (nice job Jim!)

Also, if you plan to attend the upcoming Brian Redman "KOHLER International Challenge" event (July 13-16, 2006) at Road America http://www.roadamerica.com/2006/races_bric.htm you WILL then have a chance to see this very 911 RSR in action! ;)

I think I have pictures of this car at Road America in the 70's. I'll dig them up and post them.

Hello Mr. de Quesada,

I do not know if you are aware that the historic pictures of your car were sourced through me in my search for period pictures of my car, which is the 560 9123 (the last RSR and also used by L. Heimrath).

I my search for pictures I did find quite a lot of them, taken by professional photographers back in the seventies. I would love to thank all of them for helping me out and hope that they don't mind that their excellent work is put to good use of all those enthousiasts.
Those pictures did serve me very well in bringing the car back to its period livery. Especially the Henninger medallions were not at all easy to dupilcate, as there have been quite a lot of different types of them, over the years.

What I did not know is that your car was restored by Jim Torres, whom I never met personally but who is a very likely and helpfull person. I also do believe that he is one of the best, when it comes to those period Porsches.

You have probably been thouroghly resarching the car, and therefore i am very curious to know if you have ever made contact with Mr. Heimrath Sr. As I would love to come in contact with him I would greatly appreciate it if you do have his coördinates to pass them on to me as I have been trying to contact him in vain.

I would love to try and complete the history of his 3 RSR's. I have been researching mine and have come up with a pretty complete history although there are still some minor missing links. It would be great to have them filled.

I would be great to hear form you.

Pleaase don't forget to contribute with photos of your RSR as you find them. Jim Torres is now looking to see if he can dig up some past restoration photos (that will be fantastic!).

It was a pleasure speaking with you. I stumbled on your website by accident doing a google search. What a treasure!!! The photos you have are outstanding. Your website could be a great research tool for Porsche RSR’s. Keep up the good job.

If you could, I would like to get the photos of the 74 Heimrath car. There were also photos of the car in 76. I believe it is the same car. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
