1973 Porsche 911 RSR 2.8 L - Chassis 911.360.0588

UPDATE (Dec 18, 2006) This car is owned by Peter Kitchak and was offered for sale at over 1 million, heard 1.3M would buy it. Being a factory prototype, it was upgraded with most of the trick later RSR components (center-locks, slide-valve 3 liter, etc.). This race car was the long-tail Penske/Sunoco RSR driven by Donohue at Watkins Glen in 1973.

This car is owned by Peter Kitchak and is for sale for over 1 million......I heard 1.3M would buy it. Totally worth it in my opinion. The car, being a factory prototype, has most of the '74 RSR components....ie short rear arms, center-lock wheels, slide valve 3.0L....etc.

It was also the long tail Penske/Sunoco car driven by Donohue at Watkins Glen in '73.

Found in a barn in the early 80's .....somwhere in the midwest.

I think that you have to add R 6 to the chassis number, as this car was one of the 8 "werksauto".
