My brother and I brought this car is from France. We did not have much info in those days and thought it to be a full early RSR ;) . We had Jim Torres modify the rear flares so the big 11 x 15's would fit well. We also replaced the front original fenders with steel turbo units (the original front fenders sold with the car to Bernie) . We built a correct 3 liter twin plug RSR high butterfly engine, rebuilt the trans, and with its IROC-ish looks, we would track the car with POC and a couple other clubs. One of my most fun experiences was driving the car on the street for one of the R Gruppe's first meetings in Cambria. I had fitted a cross flow muffler and the sounds were just fantastic !
From what i could glean from our "finder's" facts, the car had been used in hill climb and rally competition in France prior to our ownership. Bernie has kept the car much as when we had sold it to him, from what i can see in the pics.
