NGC 6979 in Cygnus

This is a tricolor image, with light from sulfur mapped to red, hydrogen mapped to green, and oxygen mapped to blue. The green Ha color has been shifted toward yellow-orange in processing.

Exposure: Total exposure time 42.4 hours. The left panel (south) is 17.7 hours (18:17:24 x 20 minutes SII:Ha:OIII) and the right is 23.7 hours (27:20:26 x 20 minutes SII:Ha:OIII). Processing is the same as for the HOO image, except that the red in the star colors was suppressed a bit in final processing, as the stars otherwise would have been a bit orange.
