This image shows, at the 1:00 position, the high altitude ice/dust cloud noted by many observers in late March. In addition to the haze on the evening limb at lower left, there are orographic clouds over many of the volcanoes. Clockwise from the center of the disk, the clouds are over Olympus Mons, Alba Patera, Ascraeus Mons, Pavonis Mons, and Arsia Mons. Also of note is the detached portion of the north polar cap, outside the dark ring of dunes at 80 degrees north latitude.
