hi sylvia...OMG isnt this wonderful, seeing you as i remember you at lola bravo's studio...i am in the process of going through boxes and boxes of old photos and would love to send you one in particular...do you remember being in some function on randalls island and walking with my brother, you in a beautiful gown and he in a formal tux...of course his face says it all...how he hated those types of thing...any way, i would love to reconnect...you can e-mail me at franstik@aol.com...my mom and dad, edith and ray are now long deceased...but my brother ray and i are alive and well and very busy with our growing families...so, old friend, this is frances solero (ramos) signing off and wishing to hear from you...with the best memories, fran

This is a message for Millie Rodriguez. I knew Francis Ramos and her brother Ray. Their mom's name was Edith. She was somehow related to my mom's brother-in-law Ray Romero. I thought the family name was "Romero" not "Ramos." I lived at 228 West 63rd Street (downtheback). Every now and then I would accompany Francis to her dance classes. She took lessons in Flamenco, Ballet and Tap. We were great friends. our moms new each other from way back when. I have three brothers; Freddie, Bobby and Louie Millan. Everyone thought we were related to the "Millan" sisters. I lost track of Francis when she moved to Queens. I visited there a few times but Queens was scarey to me. It wasn't "downtown." Thank you for that kernel of a memory. It was very pleasant...

Correct spelling "Byalick"...the names of the children are correct. I'm Manny Byalick from 90/Apt. 12D....will be at the reunion in a couple of weeks. Hope to see my old friends. Great gallery. Manny B.

Manuela or Manola. She still lives on Amsterdam right? I saw her last year when I went to the projects to visit. Do you remember a neighbor of yours name Frances Ramos?
She has a brother name Ray. She liked to dance. If this sounds familiar you can e-mail me. Fran is my neighbor. She lived in 90 for a couple of years then moved to Queens.
When I met her, she told me this and it blew my mind. Small world.

My name was Millie Ortiz, but I was not Little Louie's sister. He was my cousin and lived with me. Irene Arreaga was his sister. He passed away a few years ago. These pictures brought back so many memories. I've lived in Hawai'i for almost 20 yrs., so I've lost touch. It was great seeing these pictures. Thank you.
