On this day, I finally experienced the overexposure problems with the D80 that I'd read about in certain user reviews. This photo and the next two were shot using matrix metering and ended up about 2/3 stop overexposed. Fortunately I shot them in RAW format; I ran them through Bibble, and I think that the program did a pretty good job at rescuing them. These shots had a lot of direct, harsh sunlight and contrasting shadows, and the D80 seems to like to expose for the shadows in scenes like these.
