Hi Wendy,

Thanks for your kind comment. Regarding the picture of the heron at dusk, I used the Night Scene mode, since manual mode only allows a maximum 0.25s exposure, which wasn't enough at ISO 100. I did not use a flash (it's pointless for pictures like this, and I didn't want to light up - or scare away - the heron). And, yes, I did use a tripod, for this shot as well as all of the other night shots in the gallery. I was lucky that, in the time it took me to set it up, the heron didn't swim or fly away!

I've recently bought the F10 and would like to ask you some questions about the camera...(Great shots by the way!!), so you might see me commenting in a few different pictures...

For this shot, it was shot in "Portrait" mode? Was flash used? And I assume for all the photos in this particular gallery, a tripod was used?
