Another National Park off my list of parks to visit! I am more disappointed with my pictures from this visit than from any other...I didn't take as much time as I normally do. The 22 km hike to Half Dome was a highlight, but I was so exhausted by the time I reached the cables to make the final ascent, that I knew I didn't have it in me to complete the journey. It was getting late, and thunder rumbled ominously in the distance (you should never attempt to climb Half Dome in a thunderstorm). Someday, I shall return...

My cousin and her family live 3 hours away from the park, so her husband and two kids joined me on the last day (my cousin was in Kenya at the time).
