I just happened upon the Tale of Sydney by viewing updated galleries. What a heartwrenching story; and yet he was immortalized by your fantastic photos. My favorite is this, and the best part is the subtle capture of the water droplet suspended from his parent's bill above his head...a virtual "annointing", if you will. I also read your warnings about the unscrupulous "artist" who stole your image for her own gain. I commiserate as I had a similar experience ironically not from the web but with a printed image, though nothing nearly as dear as this. Still, I commend you for your work and your staunch pursuit of your rights.

Hi Zak, I was in a kayak and would go to visit the parents often so they came to trust me. When the baby was born, they would come right up to the kayak - almost like they were showing him off. If anyone else came into the lagoon, they'd swim away and hide. He was such a cute little guy and seemed to really like the camera! Good to hear from you, keep up your photography, Cheers, Sandi
