The Eyes of Blind Horses

These were taken at a retirement farm for horses near Alachua, Florida. One paddock was devoted to horses that were blind. Many were blind from birth. I am not sure if the deformities are acquired or congenital.

All are grey horses. Appaloosas are prone to eye problems, predispoesed to moon blindness. Nice that there is a place for blind horses to live out their days. Not pretty eyes, but very well recorded.

This is certainly interesting, some of the eyes look really painful, I hope they're not.
