St George's Hall was reopened on April 23rd 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales, after the completion of a £23m restoration It is one of the finest buildings in the world and it also forms an integral part of Liverpool's history. It is possibly the only building where you could be tried for murder, have a ball or listen to a concert all under one roof.The air-conditioning system at St George's Hall was the first attempt at air conditioning in a public building in the UK. The floor of the Great Hall contains over 30,000 tiles
