broadcreek.jpg

Broadbottom, Cheshire, UK

This is a picture of a small creek no more than 3 feet wide near the village where I live. I took this with ISO400 setting with the new firmware. It works marvellously when there is glorious light like this.

Sigma SD9 ,Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8-4 ASP
shutter speed 350; aperture f:6.7 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

An absolute marvel!

The definition that was captured with this obscure light source is truly miraculous! The definition in the trees, the branches, et. al, down to the trunks of the trees, the ripples in parts of the water, the clarity and definition in all areas of this image are simply not to be rivaled.

As a SD-9 Owner myself, I have leaned more heavily towards the documentary edge of Photography; many times I find myself in inner cities, shooting average people in unique situations, and it's very rare that I have the ability to visit a rural area and even attempt to capture an image like the one you have displayed here; I do hope to be able to travel home some time soon and find a place like this that I can attempt to capture as masterfully as you have here.

Cheers
