Gođafoss

Iceland

This waterfall is called Gođafoss which in english means the waterfall of the pagan gods. When people were just starting to live in Iceland they all believed in pagan gods.
Then Christianity came and one of the heathen priests was elected to make a decision on if all icelanders should continue to have their old faith or if they should change to
christianity. He decided that all of icelanders should become christians and after he had anounced his decision the saga says that he took all of his pagan gods statues and through
them into this waterfall. Hens the name of it.

Wonderful shot. I love the nature of Iceland (who doesn't?).
