The Ljósafoss power plant

Iceland

The Thingvellir lake was a lot smaller in the begining. One river runs from the Lake called Sogid. Then around 1930 a dam was made where Sogid ran from the lake making the lake bigger then it was before.
Afterwards two more waterfall power plants were made in the river Sogid. The one seen here is the one in the middle and it´s called Ljósafoss power plant.
