Mollie Sue and Her Dolly

This dolly has been sitting in my computer room on a child's rocking chair, and just recently my little black pug, Mollie Sue
has taken an interest in her and each evening she will pull her off the rocking chair and onto the floor and continue to nudge her a few times as though she wants to play.
Mollie Sue was rescued from a puppy mill by DFW Pug Rescue. She spent the first two years of her life in a cage at the puppy mill.
When I rescued her, she had no idea what to do with a toy, and she was afraid of grass and afraid of men.
She is now 12 years old. She seems to like Dolly.
My two girls who are now in their 40's and 50's used to play with this doll many, many years ago.
Mollie Sue had fallen asleep on Dolly's lap and when she awoke, I knew I wanted a photo of her and her dolly together.
And being the good dog that she is, she posed nicely as she knew she would be treated with a couple pieces of hard-boiled egg... her favorite treat!
You see, she has only one little "toof" in her mouth after having dental surgery and that is why her tongue sticks out.
I love her so much!

The older our dogs get, and the more problems that beset them, the more we love them. Old dogs are special, especially old rescued dogs who have been given a new lease on life, like this adorable girl. V
