This is my special friend Lucky, the mourning dove. We have been friends now for a couple years.

He does not seem frightened of me like the other doves, and we have had many conversations in the garden.
He will come close and listen as I ramble on. (Oh my... what must the neighbors think?)

It was cool and misty today, and I can only assume that he hopped in the bird feeder to stay out of the rain.
Such a smart bird! I took several photos... and then we talked some more.
