Art in the Garden

The oppressive heat and humidity has come to north Texas and a brief foray into the garden was all I could do,
so I chose to play with one of my shots on the computer in the cool of the house.

This rudbeckia is a descendant of a plant I gave to a friend of mine years ago.
She planted several that I had dug from my garden and after a number of years, these line a side of her house.

When I lost my home to the tornado, she dug up several of the flowers and gave them to me.
And now, "my" rudbeckia is again thriving in my own garden.
I love them because they are bright and colorful and are survivors in spite of the Texas heat and drought!

This is beautiful, Fay. Certainly one to hang on the wall. "vVv"

It's all about persistence, Fay. The rudbekia survived and continues to give great joy, as you do to the followers of your work.

This is a beautiful work of art Fay! Love the story that goes with it! V
I wish that I could keep rudbeckia growing in my yard; however, I had to give up years ago. The darned woodchucks, rabbits & deer kept eating them....
