Superb gallery of Sydney!!! You really make me want to go back to Aus again, just can't let go myself keep scrolling and browsing through your great pictures. erm you wish... sydney is so much better than melbourne its not even funny... when someone thinks of australia., what do they think of, the opera house or the bridge... melbourne sucks at everything... i mean theres nothing to it, and neighbours doesnt even have any viewers any more! melbourne sucks... sydney is the face of australia.. face it

These images are all masterpieces! Both technique and compostion are great, sheila. since 2000 i spent 3-times in sydney. I got a "homesick", when i look at all these well done paintings of light. Hi Sheila, No doubt these are beautiful pictures and technically very well done, but where are Sydney's inhabitants? How do they stroll through the city on sun- and weekdays, where do they eat at noon, how are they when they go to the beach, are there marketplaces for foodshopping, how are they dressed to go to work, how do they go to work, how is leisure time in the city,...? There is not a lot of'life' on your pictures.

My favorite pub is the "Lord Nelson" just under the bridge from the rocks as I recall. It's been years. Lovely photos. I sailed around the harbor on HMS Bounty replica when it was moored across from the opera house. Bitters on George St. Nice memories. Thanks.

Hi Sheila Your galleries are just great. I have a D60 also but you seem to capture much better colours than I seem to get. Maybe it's something to do with the weather in Oz. My gallery is at www.pbase.com/sigma33. This was a holiday in the British Virgin Islands. The results still had to be doctored in Photoshop though. What filters if any do you use? Thank you Malcolm. I always check the composition etc before snapping but it also helps these days to have a digital camera when you can delete as you go. If you are a serious amateur, I suggest you check out Fred Miranda's site at www.fredmiranda.com where you can post your photographs. Cheers Sheila
