Tawny frogmouth

Rosebank, New South Wales

These owls try to blend in with their surroundings. This particular tawny was sitting at the bottom of a tree at a friend's property at Rosebank, New South Wales

How long was it on the ground for? Generally they won't sit on the ground during the day unless they're ill.
