View From The High Line

The High Line was an elevated train line constructed on Manhattan's West Side in the 1930s. Instead of running above the street, it ran through buildings and the neighborhoods of the Meat Packing District, West Chelsea, and Clinton/Hell's Kitchen between 10th and 11th Avenues. It has recently been converted to a park which right now extends from Gansevoort Street in the Meat Packing District to 20th Street in Chelsea. Plans are to extend the park to 34th Street in the future. The High Line offers unusual views of these interesting and off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods.
