I have nothing to add to what has been said below. It's powerful, very strong.

This photo is not an abstract, nevertheless it has a very appealing harmony of shapes, which makes it fascinating besides its documentary meaning.
I love it enormously.
For multiply reason, the visual elegant beauty and the symbolic meaning of it, among alls.

Fantastic scene, very good catch! I love the series of hats, the composition is fantastic.

Driving through mainstreet with the windows of my mind oblivious to the scattering leaves pausing for a moment outside my glass dome. They scurry by as a breeze.Barely printing their shadow of pleas and curiousity upon my silence.

China is the land of the hard sell -- with a billion and half mouths to feed, competition is harsh and the payoff thin. This is a wonderful characterization of that truth, Kal. Not only are there five sellers to one or maybe two buyers, but the wall of glass separates the two worlds as Ai Li points out in her comment, and as I tried to express in the two images I recently made on Li River:http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/58895084 andhttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/58750583

A common overwhelming sight in many tourist spots. A glass window that separates the two worlds. Sitting in a luxury air-conditioned car with the purchasing power vs. standing, competing and hard selling under the sun. Some may ponder about their choice of living and their survival skills. But many choose to ignore and drive away, thinking that it's hard to satisfy all of them at one go, or hoping that someone else may unwind the glass window...

Hahahah Kal...I at first thought it was a multiple exposure,
that is was the same woman in a series of steps.
Good catch : )

The sard(ine)'s hell!;)
Love the three layers: moving, talking, looking...

It IS a hard sell! We can see that from the anxious, disappointed expressions of the women on the side.. I notice their outfits, their hats are almost identical.. We can't really tell the difference between them, maybe just like the things they are trying to sell, are all the same.. The market is really competitive, and the closed car window implies there is no interests from the potential buyer.... This picture reminds me so much of a picture I made in Suzhou two years ago:http://www.pbase.com/angeleyes_zyl/image/36267619 , but yours are more abstracted and stronger..
