Excellent ping and powerful image... seems to be one of the nine hell's circle of the Dante's Comedy.

I did not understand your "ping" designation at first -- but after reading Ai Li's comment I see that you use that word to link us to her claustrophobic image of yesterday. Her image was the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture -- it even had the same title and caption. Her subject seems confused by his predicament, while this guy just seems to be patiently waiting to find his way out of this hellish place . Both of you express confinement, but use different orientation, attitude and even medium (color vs. black and white) to make your ideas work.

Your title, once again, is excellent! As others said, the images gives the feeling of claustrophobia perfectly...
But, in the same time, the exit could be in front of the man, on our side. This is very interesting. Great light and composition.

Thanks for the ping, Kal. Oh my, it's indeed claustrofobic! The light distortion and the converging walls into darkness are rather threatening. In such a narrow alley, it seemed no escape for both of you. Perhaps it's what you called a duel, a face-to-face confrontation between the rider and the photographer. He sees you as well as you see him. You're never alone. And there's always a way out... Very well thought and captured.

Wow, this is like an early Polanski where the fluid walls became the landscape of a deteriorating mind. Bravo, Kal, and a great ping!!!
