The recurring stripes of red and blue hint at regimented lives in a society short of creature comforts. There is only one chair but so what? Necessity begets improvisation. After all, the pleasure of each other's company is more important than rules or protocol.

Great capture! They have a good time.

Now this is the kind of compelling scene you will never ever find in Brussels. It's the nature of the people that prohibits Belgians from being like that in public.

Another masterpiece... ;-)

What are they talking about? A full of life scene, Kal. Love it! Love your title too!

The edge of art, with this 'Colonne de Buren'!;)... (curious about the game, a sort of 'Mikado'?:)

Spontaneity. A moment of intensely human interaction. Made memorable by the fact that two of the three men are sitting ON the table instead of at it. From a western view, anyway, a truly incongruous set of postures.

Great capture! I love the hint of movement and joy "floating around" :)
On a more basic level, I am always stupidly amazed how orientals can be confortable in that position... I guess we all should learn it as kids too, because I bet we would grow up a lot more flexible :))

Living (Standing) on the edge may not necessarily be a sad thing. Risky perhaps. But it's part of circle of life, ups and downs, just be positive, contented and happy. Live the moment well. Those guys certainly did :-)

Optimism is the fine art of smiling upon a precipice. To piroutte with bold defiance upon an edge. And I admire those fools for living the gamble that I could not.

Good shot Kal. Brilliantly hand-held, colouring, movement... and joy!!
