Excellent shot, he appears to be more apart of the setting than anything else. A rebel but in a way not because of him blending in to the scene due to the focus. The Brando/Dean pose seems almost odd. The washed out people in the house show the division of where he is and where he may want to be or what he may want to rebel against. That is just how i see it.

He's outside alone, the arrow points to shelter, people, the light. Excellent Kal.

You rarely make environmental portraits, preferring to be the invisible observer. In this case, however, the subject studies you and you study him, bringing him and the viewer eye to eye. We must confront his stare and consider his situation. He appears to be waiting for someone or something, ready to fly away on his bike at a moments notice. He remains a transient presence, with only one foot on the ground and the other poised for action. Meanwhile the washed out figures within the house offer context -- they represent a world he may never know.

The posture seems Brandoish or Deanish, alright, but with a bicycle he looks so benign. ;-)))

... his cause is the bicycle, instead of a Porsche, I guess... ;-)
